Applications are invited for the post of teaching-focused Lecturer in Translation Studies (English-Spanish), which is tenable from 1 October 2021 for a period of 10 months. You will be primarily responsible for delivering Spanish-English translation tutorials in literary, commercial and audiovisual translation on the MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies and for assessing students’ Spanish-English translation work. You will also be required to supervise and assess MA dissertations.
You must have a PhD in translation or interpreting studies and demonstrable teaching experience in translation studies at university level. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of facilitating student learning in virtual as well as face-to-face environments. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to empathise with students.
