
We are seeking to recruit a Business Engagement Officer into Consultancy Services within central Business Engagement & Knowledge Exchange, to support the development of interactions between the University and Industry through consultancy and service provision. This role represents an opportunity to support change for the University and increase our industry engagement, lead business strategy, and academic impact creation.
This position will contribute to the development and implementation of the Universities relaunch of Consultancy Services. The University has a vision to become one of the top Universities in the UK for academic consultancy in the UK, with an innovative process and operations behind it, and this role holder will play a key role in these changes and the growth of consultancy over the next few years.
The role holder will be based within the BEKE team, part of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement. They will work with colleagues to help support and implement objectives for the University’s consultancy service provision, initiating and developing opportunities for consultancy projects with business, governmental agencies and other appropriate organisations.
To act as a contact for internal colleagues and external organisations in all areas of University consultancy activities, the role holder will be expected to be mobile between Faculty and Central University functions as part of a functional team of business engagement and knowledge exchange in order to contribute significantly to University-wide provision of consultancy activities.
They will additionally provide insight and management information to the Head of Integrated Business Engagement, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President for Research, and Head of BEKE.
