
Applications are invited for a Research Associate post in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research & Primary Care The post is available immediately and is tenable on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2022, in the first instance.
You will join The Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research and a wider team, seeking to improve care for patients with hearing problems, by conducting feasibility work to support a later trial of a new intervention. You will recruit and engage general practice and hearing services in the community, assist in data sharing and extraction, conduct qualitative research with professionals, and help to develop and test a better way for services to share data on hearing aid provision. There will be opportunities to write publications and report and support grant writing.
You will have a PhD or equivalent in a health related subject and experience of applied health research, including conducting and analysing qualitative interviews. Experience of working with general practice and hearing aid services and a developing publication record in peer reviewed journals would be advantageous.
