
The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications for a part-time, temporary lectureship post in Graeco-Roman material culture, within the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology, and Egyptology (CAHAE).
The successful candidate will have, or be near to completing, a PhD in some area of Graeco-Roman history or archaeology, with expertise to cover existing courses in ancient Mediterranean archaeology, Roman women from the perspective of material culture, and general Roman and/or Greek history.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery of teaching on CAHAE’s programmes in the area of Graeco-Roman material culture, replacing Dr Roberta Mazza for one semester. The appointee will also be expected to contribute to day-to-day administrative tasks for the Department, including participation in regular recruitment activities and staff-student events.
