Job Description

The primary responsibility of this post is to create a web application referred to as SPOC (Single Point Of Contact). This system will be designed to enable criminal justice organisations, such as prisons, across England to locate appropriate substance misuse services to refer clients to. The system should enable them to locate services within an interactive map, that also provides details of the range of services provided and contact details. A user management system will be required that enables substance misuse services to enter and update their own details to keep the system up to date. A multi-level approach to registration will be needed so that users can only access reports and data that are appropriate to them, based on geography, employing organisation etc.

In addition, the post will assist with the updating and management of the NDTMS.net web application. This includes the data visualisation tool ViewIt, accessible by the drug and alcohol treatment sector and the public alike.

As a grade 6 post, this will require a high level of independent working but also adherence to the demands of the project and the funder, which are subject to change. The post will be incorporated within a small team of data analysts, researchers and one other software developer.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.
