Job Description

People & Organisational Development Systems Manager – Grade 7 – Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Systems Manager within People & OD Operations Team who will be responsible for the delivery, development and continuous improvement of People & OD systems.

The Systems Manager is required to work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and working groups representing People & OD on such topics as system administration and management, system interfaces, management information, data quality, information security and business processes under the strategic direction of the Head of People & OD Operations. 

This role is a specialist role in ensuring that People & OD Systems and related business processes are managed and administered, including the data housekeeping of all People Data and that systems documentation is in place and kept relevant.

This will include leading on the system administration of ResourceLink (integrated HR/Payroll system, MyView, Employee and Manager Self-Service portals) and the implementation of new functionality/modules, together with System configuration of Jobtrain (an e-Recruitment system) to meet the University’s recruitment processes and lead on implementation of new functionality.

You will need to demonstrate that you have up to date knowledge of Microsoft products and have experience of leading meetings and building relationships with senior colleagues, team members and stakeholders.  You will also have experience of developing and delivering clear training and guidance on systems to stakeholders together with exercising discretion when dealing with confidential and/or sensitive information in line with GDPR.
