Job Description

Speech and Language Therapy Posts

The School of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) (Teaching & Scholarship) to be a core member of the Speech and Language Therapy team at the University of Manchester. The person appointed will provide cutting-edge teaching and contribute to innovation, evaluation and development of SLT education here at Manchester.  The person appointed will have expertise in linguistics and be passionate about the relevance of linguistics to speech and language therapy education.

We are also looking to appoint either a Clinical Lecturer or Senior Clinical Lecturer (depending on relevant experience). We wish to appoint an individual who has, or has emerging potential to develop, an international record in research relating to typical and/or atypical language and communicative development with a demonstrated interest in its clinical application and experience of educating SLT students. Appointment at Clinical Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level will be dependent on prior experience. Typical profiles for each level are provided within the Further Particulars. It is recognised that individuals with a primarily clinical career path to date may offer a more varied profile.
