Job Description

The University of Manchester’s Directorate of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment is looking for an experienced social media professional to join its growing team. This is a permanent post and has recently been uplifted in both grade and starting salary. Please note that interview dates will be held week commencing 14th March or 21st March 2022.

You will have a record of excellence in social media communications and a flair for both the creative and the technical aspects of this work. You will have at least three years’ experience managing social media or digital communications for an organisation or brand.

Social media is integral to the University’s Corporate Communications and Reputation Strategy. You will create and publish powerful content that builds the University brand and supports our three core goals. You will engage with our audiences, handling enquiries and inspiring them to become advocates for the University. You will have a growth mindset and keep up to date with new content formats and channels through independent and team learning.

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will collaborate with internal and external partners. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure will help you deliver on deadline.
