
The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a full time, temporary post of postdoctoral research associate (PDRA), tenable from 1st July 2022 until 28th February 2025 for the AHRC funded inter-disciplinary Care Aesthetics: Research Exploration (CARE) project situated in Drama but with strong ties into health and social care. For this post, we are looking to appoint a PDRA who will be the key arts researcher on the study.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of researchers led by PI Professor James Thompson, supported by Co-Is Professor John Keady (University of Manchester; mental health nursing), Dr Jackie Kindell (Peninne Care NHS Trust; speech and language therapy) and Dr Kerry Harman (Birkbeck, University of London; social care). The PDRA is a key parts of a three-year research project exploring care aesthetics in contexts of the arts, health and social care, and in community responses to the Covid pandemic.
