Job Description

A Research Associate in Organic Synthesis is required in the Department of Chemistry, at The University of Manchester to synthesise and characterise organic materials for industrial research projects in the Organic Materials Innovation Centre (OMIC). ​​​​​​​

The projects focus on new chemical routes from bio derived feedstock’s to aviation fuel and the synthesis of novel emissive materials.  This post will involve collaboration with researchers within the University and in company partners and may involve time working in other laboratories. You should have a strong research track record in organic synthesis and / or process chemistry with an interest in more sustainable processes.
