The role

The University of Manchester is undergoing a number of transformation projects, one area within scope of this is our People and Organisational Development (P&OD) directorate, who have a programme of individual work streams to review people, systems, process and procedures and their structure.

We are looking to appoint an Enterprise Architect for a period of 12 months to work within the programme to make recommendations on how best to stabilise the current system whilst the programme takes place.  Then analyse, architect, design, cost, and plan solutions, and ensure delivery of the P&OD strategy. This will require you to complete the following

  • Re-define the People & OD Service Model;
  • Develop People & OD Capabilities;
  • Modernise People & OD Practice, Policy, and process;
  • Implement a New People & OD System;
  • Provision of accurate People Data & Analytics;

The person

The Enterprise Architect we are seeking to recruit should have the following skills:

  • Significant experience in analysis and creation of architectural diagrams
  • Experience of working with estates that have complex integrations
  • The ability to undertake a gap analysis
  • Confident in making solutions recommendations
  • Experience with a variety of database technologies including Jobtrain and ResourceLink
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of Oracle database technologies including Oracle Financials and Oracle CRM
  • Experience of working in a Higher Education Institute
