Job Description

Supporting communications to an audience of over 500,000 graduates in over 190 countries, The University of Manchester is seeking an Assistant Alumni Officer (Communications) to help build an engaged alumni community who support the University’s vision and strategic goals. You will join the team at an exciting time, as we prepare to launch our first ever major fundraising and engagement campaign while also preparing to mark our 200th anniversary in 2024.

You will support, develop and deliver communications to alumni that make it easier and more appealing for them to engage with the University - from one-off pieces of user-focused content to larger, multi-channel campaigns.

You will have a track record of delivering against agreed communications plans, and must also be comfortable creating user-focused content.

You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills, along with a keen eye for detail and for what makes good content.

The role is permanent, full-time and based in the University’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.
