Job Description

The post holder will be providing high quality Research Project Management support to the international research partnerships of the MCRC, as part of the MCRC Research Operations team. They will be responsible for the management of relevant research grants and collaborations as required associated with international partnerships already in place and which may arise in the future. Through their work, the post holder will contribute to the development of the MCRC Operations team ensuring that appropriate reporting and project management structures are in place. This will involve developing the data repositories, documentation, templates and other resources to ensure rapid response to project support requests as required.  Importantly in an International role, the post holder will be required to conduct their work with cultural diplomacy and sensitivity to achieve reciprocal benefits.

In all aspects, the post holder will have responsibility for deliverables and milestones, ensuring projects are on time and within budget. The post holder will: work effectively across complex research organisations, ensure timelines for projects are met and instigate change as required; use specialized knowledge to advise on project set-up and running; be able to take initiative where necessary; identify and breakdown tasks required for a multidisciplinary research group project; delegate and assign tasks to others.
