
The Manchester China Institute (MCI) seeks to appoint a two-year postdoctoral Research Associate in China Studies commencing September 2024.
The successful applicant will be based in the Lee Kai Hung Postdoctoral College at MCI, and work independently under the supervision of the MCI director. S/he will possess a PhD in the humanities or social sciences, and the ability to produce world-class research. Applications from across China studies are welcome, with slight preference given to research with impact/benefit beyond academia.
The Manchester China Institute seeks to improve mutual understanding in UK-China relations. It supports a vibrant China studies research community at the global top-30 University of Manchester, which boasts the largest Chinese student population (8,800!) of any university in Europe. Manchester is also home to the second largest Chinese community in the UK.
