Job Description

The Biological Services Facility is one of the largest single-site animal research facilities in the UK. It supports researchers across the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, including around 90 project licence holders and 600 personal licensees.

Clear and engaging communication, both internally with BSF staff and users and externally with the public and key stakeholders, plays a crucial role in the BSF’s strategic plan. It ensures that animal welfare, implementation of the 3Rs and compliance with ethical and legal requirements remain foremost in everyone’s minds, and also assists with the efficient running of the unit. This role will also provide administrative support to key managers within the BSF, including the Communications Manager, Health and Safety Manager and support the implementation of a new animal management system.
