In addition the successful candidate will:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support for key activities of admissions across the University including making standard decisions, updating applicant records and resolving errors on records as well as providing support on open days, visit days, interviews and confirmation and clearing activities.
  • Deliver excellent service provision and support colleagues with continuous improvement, placing the student experience at the heart of what we do with support for a single PS team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.

The successful candidate should have relevant knowledge and experience as set out in the job description. Including administrative activities; experience of working in a team environment within a large organisation, with the ability to act as the first point of contact for admissions enquiries and provide information, advice and guidance on routine matters, knowing when to escalate to others as appropriate.

Furthermore, they must be prepared to undertake work outside regular office hours, including weekends on an occasional basis, as necessary. The University operates arrangements to recognise this working pattern and to ensure an appropriate balance between working and non-working time.
