Job Description

The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures is looking for a Research Associate to work under the direction of its new head, Professor Thomas Schmidt, on several research projects, notably the completion of a catalogue of music sources of the 15th to early 17th centuries held in the Fondo Cappella Sistina in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, to be published by the Vatican Library in collaboration with RISM (the Répertoire International des Sources Musicales).

The post is available from 1 June 2021 or ASAP thereafter for a duration of 24 months.

The successful candidate will be expected to follow the University’s New Academics Programme and be subject to a probationary period.
