Job Description

A position is available for a Research Associate who is trained and experienced in social research methods and is interested in expanding their professional repertoire to help support computational training. The position is funded by Manchester’s participation in the UK Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) (www.software.ac.uk), you will be part of the eScience Lab team (esciencelab.org.uk) at the Department of Computer Science.

You will design and conduct research studies of relevance to the work of the SSI; there will be an initial focus on evaluating the major initiatives run by the Institute and understanding how to improve diversity within the research software community. In addition, they will aid activities related to the training programmes offered and facilitated by the SSI.
