The University of Manchester are looking to appoint a Head of Research Finance Service Delivery.
Your role will be to lead the faculty based Research Finance Service delivery teams. Supporting the Head of Research Finance to identify and implement process and system improvements in order to transform the quality of service provided to research budget holders. To coordinate the workload of faculty based teams and ensure a high quality service to budget holders while supporting revenue billing and compliance with funding terms and conditions.
You will work to identify areas of financial risk in relation to research grants and contracts and drive the implementation of solutions and mitigations to manage these, working across organisational boundaries where necessary.
You will lead a team of approximately 60 research finance staff and you will train, coach and develop the team – maintaining appropriate levels of resourcing and supporting the management of succession planning.
You will be an experienced operational finance professional, have an excellent customer service mindset and you will be a strong team leader.
