Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s business engagement and knowledge exchange strategy and become an integral member of the University’s Knowledge Exchange team, which holds one of the largest Knowledge Exchange portfolios in the country. ​​​​​​​

The role holder will be based within Business Engagement & Knowledge Exchange (BEKE), part of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement. They will work with colleagues to initiate, facilitate, develop, and support knowledge exchange projects between University academics and external partners. Crucially, they will develop a detailed understanding of the policy, processes, and objectives around Knowledge Exchange funding, particularly Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) and Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAA), and play a key role in the team delivering significant growth in Knowledge Exchange activity within the University. This role will contribute to the co-ordination and delivery KTPs and IAAs, from lead generation through to proposal development, post-award activity and project completion.

The post will contribute significantly to University-wide activities, and will involve working across multiple levels within the University (finance, contracts, research services, operations) as well as with academics across all three faculties and external organisations. They will support the Knowledge Exchange Managers and Head of BEKE on business engagement and innovation activities.
