The School of Biological Sciences are seeking to appoint an outstanding scientist to enhance our strengths in cell biology and its application to health and disease. We are particularly interested in those scientists who apply advanced imaging to investigate cell biological processes and hence can take full advantage of our excellent bio imaging and electron microscopy facilities.
You will be appointed to an academic teaching and research position (commensurate with your track record) and will be able to seize on the opportunities available from the unique environment offered in Manchester for collaboration with colleagues working in cell and developmental biology through to those with a more clinical focus.
You will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and will participate in the successful mentoring and supervision of our cohort of postgraduate researchers and junior academic staff.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent) and established publication record in the cell biology field as well as the ability to communicate your research successfully to a wide audience. A commitment to teaching and learning is essential. We would particularly welcome applications from those who have a previously attracted external funding for their research.
