The role

You will manage a large team of engineers providing a range of desktop support across the University; coordinating their activity across incident management, project activity (such as moving into new buildings) and ensuring that the desktop estate is fit for purpose in a wide range of environments, from offices to lab spaces, and delivers value across all academic and business activity.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience of team management, especially in complex support environments.
  • Experience of collaborating with multiple stakeholders to successfully deliver both day to day support and project activity.
  • A demonstrable sensitivity to the computing needs of teaching, research, and the administration functions of the university, whilst maintaining governance of the IT estate.
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • A passion for providing supportive leadership of a team to enable them to deliver great customer service.
