Job Description

The University of Manchester wish to appoint a Project Support Coordinator to join the National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (NIHR ARC-GM), based at the University of Manchester.  The role will support the programme team in the delivery of key strategic projects, activities and interactions and the delivery of an effective and efficient programme of work for NIHR ARC GM.    

The successful applicant will work with Professor Dame Nicky Cullum (NIHR ARC-GM Director), the Head of the ARC-GM as well as other members of the NIHR ARC-GM Programme Management Team who are based within The University of Manchester and Health Innovation Manchester (HInM) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This post will be based within the School of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health but close working with HInM is essential. More about ARC-GM can be found here.

Candidates will need previous project support/coordination experience with a proven record of providing high quality project support, preferably in a Higher Education environment. Excellent organisational skills are essential with the ability and initiative to manage and prioritise different and conflicting workloads, whilst meeting deadlines without close supervision. A flexible and responsive approach to team needs is required with the capacity to provide information, advice, and guidance. Exceptional communication skills are essential, with experience of dealing with a wide range of people both internal and external to an organisation at all levels.
