The University invites applications for a Research Associate / Research Fellow Bioinformatician in Cardiovascular and Kidney Genetics, in the group of Professor Maciej Tomaszewski, Division of Cardiovascular Sciences.
This fixed term full-time post creates an opportunity to further your career in modern “omics”, big data analysis and complex diseases. We are looking for a Research Associate/Research Fellow with background in statistics, bioinformatics or computer sciences and experience in analysis of big data, genetics, transcriptomics and other “omics”. The post holder with lead on investigations into molecular mechanisms of hypertension as a part of NIHR funded Manchester Biomedical Research Centre Integrative Cardiovascular Theme. Excellent programming skills and knowledge of recent developments in omics-based research are essential.
Appointment will be made at the level commensurate with the experience and expertise of a successful candidate.
