You should have an interest in any area of North American history since 1776. We are especially interested in encouraging applications from those that have research interests in any area of North American history since 1776, including the USA in its international and/or transnational contexts. 

You will have a strong record of research and academic publication (with outputs appropriate to stage in career), compatible with inclusion in our submission to REF 2021. You will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to fostering undergraduate and postgraduate level study in the field and will have a track record of securing external grants, or well-developed plans for future applications.
