The University of Manchester Library is one of only five National Research Libraries and the third largest academic library in the UK. The Student IT Support Team, which sits within the Teaching, Learning and Students Division of the University of Manchester Library, focuses on delivering a consistently high quality of customer service to users of our libraries.
The IT Support Officer will provide efficient, flexible and friendly first line IT support to a wide range of users of the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, Main Library, Joule Library and our other site libraries, accepting support requests, providing initial IT support, following escalation processes and monitoring resolutions within agreed timescales. Excellent interpersonal skills, IT support experience and a proactive approach to service delivery are essential.

Hours & Place of Work
Normal working hours are 35 hours per week. This post is based across the various library sites. All Library staff are required to wear a name badge.
