Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Medieval History at the University of Manchester. Candidates from all periods of Medieval History are invited to apply although preference may be given to candidates working in the Early Medieval (up to c.1000) period.
You will have an outstanding record of academic publication in Medieval History, compatible with inclusion in our submission to REF 2021 and appropriate to their career stage. You will contribute to existing undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the MA in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. These team-taught courses are subject to review and revision at regular intervals in order to incorporate the interests of new staff. At level 3 you will devise and teach a specialist course based on their area of research expertise.
Preference may be given to candidates working in the Early Medieval (up to c.1000) period.
The post will be available from 1 September 2018.
Interviews will include a research presentation and an evaluated teaching demonstration.
