The University of Manchester, invites applications from outstanding candidates with a proven track research record in the area of pharmacoepidemiology for a position of Research Associate. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for 36 months.
The successful applicant will join the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry and work closely with colleagues in The Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety.
You will have a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology or a related area. You will have demonstrable previous research experience in manipulating and analysing electronic health databases or disease registers, with successful outputs from these studies (such as peer reviewed publications and conference presentations). The project will involve collaborative working with an organisation in Taiwan and interrogation of healthcare databases both in the UK and Taiwan., so the successful candidate should also be able to speak Mandarin and write Chinese fluently. The post may involve overseas travel for possibly extended periods of time.
