Can you develop and promote Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor – the premier innovation hub in the north? Are you politically astute and capable of bringing private and public-sector organisations together to make things happen?

At the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor is a thriving innovation district including universities, hospitals and a science park. More than 73,000 students and 71,000 employees are building their future in this dynamic and cosmopolitan hub, forging a strong ethos of collaboration. With world-leading research and innovation, respected cultural offering and unique smart city approaches, it’s a place where pioneering ideas are brought to life.

Delivering our Strategic Vision for 2025, you will work with the Board to set clear objectives and KPIs and ensure that we attain them. You will represent the Partnership to external bodies including international delegations, whilst convening working groups and fostering cross-stakeholder co-operation. Equally importantly, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, including leading the team, managing resources and finances, and co-ordinating activities, so every day will bring new challenges. You will liaise with partners including Universities, Hospital Trust and Manchester City Council and regional bodies such as MIDAS, Marketing Manchester and Growth Company, giving you an exceptionally high profile.

Politically astute and commercially aware, you will bring sound experience of delivering joined-up activity from private and public-sector organisations. Naturally, you will be adept at networking and influencing, capable of building consensus among stakeholders, and able to think strategically to build the Partnership. Above all, you will be able to demonstrate an impressive record in project leadership and problem solving, and you will possess the confidence to present and persuade at Board level. This is a two year fixed term contract, which will be re-assessed annually.

Please note that the closing date for applications is Monday 8th January 2018. Interviews will be held on Thursday 1st February 2018, for those shortlisted.
