The University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to join the Mitchell Centre for Social; Network Analysis. The post is for a fixed term period until the 31 July 2019. The main objective of this post is to identify available and interesting on line data sources and tools to construct social network data sets. The PDRA would be expected to develop scripts to facilitate the construction of network datasets with the overall objective being to identify new and emergent data sources for social network analysis. In addition the PDRA will be expected to collaborate with academics in the centre to help analyze and interpret data relating to projects within the centre. 

You must have a PhD in Social Network Analysis (or equivalent) as well as the ability to undertake independent research and experience of collecting on-line social network data. You will have good IT and software sills, the ability to write to a publishable standard, possess effective communication and project management skills and be able to work under their own initiative as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
