Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in History of the Middle East at the University of Manchester.
You should have a strong record of research and publication (appropriate to stage in career); a track record of securing external grants, or well-developed plans for future applications; a demonstrable commitment to fostering undergraduate- and postgraduate-level study in the field; and a record of successful teaching in a relevant field. At Senior Lecturer level, candidates will be expected to undertake academic administration and leadership roles.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as black and minority ethnic (BME) candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from BME applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.
