This is an exciting opportunity to work in the largest clinical proteomics centre worldwide. We seek a mass spectrometrist or proteomics expert who will work within the £25 million Stoller Biomarker Discovery Centre (SBDC) to identify new biomarkers for precision medicine and identify mechanisms underlying the disease. This includes research into new approaches for proteome measurement and patient stratification in inflammatory disease and the various cancers.
The SBDC has integrated proteomics, health informatics and machine learning to rapidly define algorithms of clinical value. The appointee will continue to develop the research in the SBDC to improve on these workflows and develop new approaches to biomarker development. They will also engage in teaching on these approaches at the University of Manchester. This is a tenured, full time appointment.
