A postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for an outstanding and ambitious researcher to develop stochastic simulation methods for the study of the dynamics in crowded colloidal suspensions under the most general conditions, which can include transitory unsteady states and density inhomogeneities. These methods will be applied to investigate the effect of order on the diffusion of macromolecules in colloidal suspensions, whose dynamics fully unfolds over time scales that are especially challenging for traditional simulation techniques.

You should have a PhD in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related subjects. Expertise in stochastic and/or deterministic molecular simulation techniques, statistical mechanics and programming are essential. You should be capable of working under your own initiative and leading a small research team, so excellent communication and organisational skills are also required. A strong understanding of soft matter theory is highly desirable.
