The KNH lecturer with a background in a platform biomedical science. The KNH Centre for Biomedical Egyptology (KNH) is the only organisation of its type in the world. It combines the skills and knowledge base of medical, dental and biological sciences with access to its unique biorepository of mummified human tissues most of which (but not exclusively) are from the areas bordering the River Nile, and an in-depth understanding of the cultural and demographic background from the late bronze age to the Greco-Roman period.  The role is split between education and research (30%:70%). You will, together with the Centre Manager, be responsible for designing, developing and delivering a suite of dispersed learning programmes in the general area of biomedical sciences applied to an understanding of historic populations, their biology, culture and disease, with a very focused remit towards societies from the third millennium BCE to the 7th century CE that have developed along the river Nile. You will bring to Egyptological Research experience at post doctoral level in a major platform biomedical science. This will probably be genomics/genetics, proteomics or analytical imaging.
