The University of Manchester, invites applications for the post of Research Associate in Health Economics. This is an exciting position to work on the evaluation of a range of transformation schemes in Tameside and Glossop. These schemes are funded by the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership as part of Greater Manchester’s devolution work and aim to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. The work has the potential to inform and shape the health care system in Tameside and Glossop. 

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake research on policy evaluation and inequalities in health. The role will involve analysing both survey and administrative data to assess the impact of the schemes on health service use, costs, and health outcomes. Additional analyses will seek to inform whether schemes may impact on health inequalities and on the future economic sustainability of the area. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for 24 months in the first instance. 

This position is based in the Manchester Centre for Health Economics. You will be line-managed by Dr Will Whittaker, Senior Lecturer in Health Economics.
