We seek applications from enthusiastic and highly motivated scientists with a strong interest in genomics, human developmental biology and cell biology.  You will delineate the transcriptomes and regulatory programs of the cell subpopulations that comprise different human organs (with a focus on heart, stomach, liver and pancreas). Building on available whole transcriptomes and chromatin states for 18 organs of the developing human embryo, the project will use the latest technologies (e.g. single cell RNA-seq, single cell ATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics) to resolve cell subpopulations within organs, uncover the regulatory programs responsible for their differentiation and trace their lineage history.

Our laboratories are part of a larger research group using genomic approaches and are located in a cutting-edge multidisciplinary centre for biomedical research. You should hold (or expect to obtain shortly) a PhD (or equivalent) in Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, or a closely related field with relevant experience in these areas. Funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC), these positions are available immediately.
