The University of Manchester seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Leadership for Development at the Global Development Institute in the School of Environment, Education and Development. We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual who will make a central and strategic contribution to a new online joint Master of Leadership for Development. This unique new online teaching programme is planned to be delivered jointly in partnership with the University of Melbourne (Australia).
You will hold a PhD in a relevant cognate area relating to human resource development and/or leadership with reference to international/global development/emerging economy country contexts; have demonstrable experience in curriculum design and learning pedagogies suitable for online delivery, and have a track record of postgraduate teaching and supervision. You will also have proven research track record, in the cognate areas of leadership and management within the development sector.
You will play a lead role in the development and delivery of the new programme. In addition to design, teaching and learning contributions on the new programme, the role will also include opportunities to participate in the convening and delivery of existing course units within the Human and Digital Development cluster.
Interviews are likely to be held in the week commencing 7th October 2019.
