Applications are invited for the position of Robotics Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the recently awarded National Nuclear User Facility - Hot Robotics (NNUF-HR) located at The University of Manchester’s Robotics for Extreme Environments Laboratory (REEL) in West Cumbria.
The role will help support the delivery of the NNUF-HR, establishing a national facility to support nuclear robotics research and development in the UK.
The NNUF-HR will provide opportunities for academia and industry to utilise cutting edge equipment and expertise, and aims to accelerate the use of robotics in the UK nuclear industry. Funded by the EPSRC, NNUF-HR has been awarded to the Universities of Bristol (lead) and Manchester, RACE (Remote Applications in Challenging Environments) at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), and the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL).
This role will provide the successful candidate with the ideal opportunity to work with both academia and industry. With excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills you will have a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise a demanding programme of work to meet set deadlines.
Frequent travel will be a requirement of the appointee due to the collaborative NNUF-HR funding across 4 UK sites.
