Pre-sessional EAP Tutors
We appreciate that Pre-sessional courses are demanding, but we also think they should be rewarding. In that spirit, we want to work with tutors who will thrive in this environment. We do recognise you will come with your own personality and set of skills and we believe that you will use these to help our students succeed. You will bring your expertise in teaching EAP to the classroom and will happily share this with colleagues. You will work in a hard-working and skilled teaching team and will be supported by like-minded colleagues.
Contract Type: Fixed Term, Full Time
Pre-sessional 10-week course: 30 June - 10 September 2021
Pre-sessional 6-week course: 28 July - 10 September 2021
These dates are inclusive of a 4-day fully paid induction programme when we will guide and support you through the course materials and assessment.
Salary: £34,804 pro rata per annum
10 weeks: £7,896.56 (gross – including the induction programme & accrued holiday pay)
6 weeks: £4,818.24 (gross – including the induction programme & accrued holiday pay)
We need all of our tutors to be available for the whole Programme – holidays are paid at the end of the contract.
Free, self-catering University accommodation for tutors living outside of the Manchester area.
Eligible tutors can join the University’s Pension Scheme.

Interviews will take place via Zoom from mid-January and will be on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
