Applications are invited for the post of 0.5fte Lecturer in Early Modern History (teaching-focused) at the University of Manchester. Candidates with interests in any area of early modern history c.1450-1750 are encouraged to apply. Preference may be given to candidates with expertise in material culture studies.

You must have a successful record of undergraduate teaching in the field of early modern history. A strong record of academic publication in this area, commensurate to career stage, may also be an advantage. 

You will contribute to a range of existing undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses. At level 1 you will design and teach a History in Practice seminar and contribute to the Early Modern survey course ‘Forging and New World: Europe 1450-1750’. At level 2 you will contribute to the innovative material-culture focused course 'The Stuff of History: Objects across Borders, 1500-1800'. In addition to lectures and seminars, you may also take an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation supervisions and act as an academic advisor.
