The University of Manchester seeks to appoint two fixed term Lecturers in Global Development (Teaching and Research). It welcomes applications from exceptional candidates who can contribute to research and research-informed teaching that complements existing offerings in the Global Development Institute (GDI). The posts will be attached to the GDI’s Social Development cluster and to one or more of GDI’s research groups. One of these posts is earmarked for particular interests in urban development.
Applications are welcomed from appropriately qualified candidates in all areas of global development, but particularly from candidates with research and teaching interests related to one or more of the following areas: poverty and inequality in the Global South; gender and development; development management; globalisation, trade and industry; and poverty, inequality, gender and sustainability issues within an urban setting in the Global South.
Interviews will be held in September 2021.
