This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious non-clinical academic motivated towards pre-clinical and translational radiotherapy research to apply for a new full time Senior Lecturer post at The University of Manchester.

Applications are invited from individuals with substantial research experience in the field of pre-clinical models, small animal radiotherapy. We would particularly like to hear from individuals with specific interest in normal tissue toxicity, cancer imaging and/or proton radiobiology. They should have both the ambition and the potential to become a leader in their field at a national and international level. The post includes mandatory development of an independent scientific programme of research based on peer-reviewed funding and an undergraduate and post-graduate teaching component.

The appointment is funded by the CRUK RadNet Manchester, in collaboration with the Christie NHS Foundation Trust and The University of Manchester. The successful applicant will establish and lead a new pre-clinical radiotherapy research programme with initial alignment to the goals of the RadNet Manchester Unit which include understanding the mechanisms of comorbidity-radiation treatment interactions, developing novel combination approaches to enhance radiotherapy outcome and/or mitigate toxicity, and developing a unique programme of research in proton radiobiology.
