A position is available for a Research Associate who is trained and experienced in social research methods. The position is funded by Manchester’s participation in the UK Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) (www.software.ac.uk), the post holder will be part of the eScience Lab team (esciencelab.org.uk) at the Department of Computer Science. Please note – this is not a software engineering post.
The post holder will design and conduct research studies of relevance to the work of the SSI; there will be an initial focus on evaluating the major initiatives run by the Institute and understanding how to improve diversity within the research software community.
