We are delighted to be promoting four significant leadership opportunities within the newly created Division of Student and Academic Services. Covering the areas of Employability, Student Success and Development, Student Access and Success, Teaching and Learning Delivery and Student Admissions and Administration, these are strategically critical roles within the University, providing leadership to ensure that the Division and the wider Directorate for the Student Experience makes a full contribution towards the objectives of the University to support a world-class teaching, learning and student experience, whilst working in true partnership with colleagues and students alike.

These roles work in partnership with the Head of Student and Academic Services, the Director for the Student Experience, Academic Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students and senior academic and Professional Services managers across our Faculties and Schools. We are seeking inspiring, experienced leaders with a passion for providing an outstanding student experience and a reputation for developing strong collaborative partnerships within and outside of the University. Experience of delivering positive change, of innovating and of strong and compassionate leadership are essential.

The Division of Student and Academic Services, under the leadership of Craig Best, encompasses student access, participation and success (including employability and widening participation), teaching and learning development and delivery (including our rapidly developing blended learning offer), student systems and data, business improvement, admissions, immigration, student finance, timetabling and wider student administration.

The Division is a part of our wider Directorate for the Student Experience, which was established to facilitate a joined up approach to the delivery of services to students throughout the student lifecycle and to provide leadership to enhance the student experience. The Directorate encompasses all University level student services across the student journey, from international recruitment through registration, student access, development and success, teaching and learning, student support, residences and sport and on to graduation.
