The University of Manchester seeks to appoint a Permanent Lecturer in Digital Development (Teaching and Research). It welcomes applications from exceptional candidates who can contribute to research and research-informed teaching that complements existing offerings in the Global Development Institute (GDI) and can make a significant contribution to GDI’s postgraduate teaching programmes on Digital Development, and Management and Information Systems. The post will be attached to the GDI’s Human and Digital Development cluster and to GDI’s Digital Development research group.
Applications are welcomed from appropriately qualified candidates in all areas of global development, but particularly from candidates with a track record of high-quality research related to digital development, the implementation of new digital systems, and their implications for developmental processes in the Global South. In addition, prior experience of postgraduate teaching in areas of relevance to digital development will be expected.
