Delivery of our sport and physical activity strategy is through UoM Sport which is based across our campuses primarily in Fallowfield at the Armitage Sports Centre and in Manchester University Students’ Union on Oxford Road. Our activities take place across the city utilising a range of city facilities in supporting our community being active and promoting physical activity opportunities through our facilities and programmes.
The University is looking to appoint a Sport Co-ordinator to coordinate and develop the Health and Fitness offer within the University run sports facilities and the wider UoM Sport department. The role holder will be responsible for the provision and delivery of Health and Fitness services ensuring maximisation of the commercial opportunities for fitness memberships, fitness class programmes and extended service offers.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the year-round running of all fitness facilities and the effective management of our fitness team at our flagship Armitage Sports Centre.
The role holder will have the ability to supervise staff and students as well as being an exceptional team player, playing a valuable role in supporting the provision of Health and Fitness Services across UoM Sport. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual with significant experience in the commercial health and fitness sector and or related experience within higher education.

This role is customer facing and therefore is either mostly or entirely campus based without the opportunity for hybrid working.
