Delivery of our sport and physical activity strategy is through UoM Sport which is based across our campuses primarily in Fallowfield at the Armitage Sports Centre and in Manchester University Students’ Union on Oxford Road. Our activities take place across the city utilising a range of city facilities in supporting our community being active and promoting physical activity opportunities through our facilities and programmes.

The University is therefore looking to appoint a Systems and Data Analyst to lead on UoM Sports systems and processes and streamline how we work in a customer-centric way across the department.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing the development and integration of current and future technological solutions and support key strategic initiatives in using technology to effectively deliver key services across our portfolio of activities. This will include a range of standard solutions such as Microsoft 365 products (Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI) in addition to more specialist sport systems that manage our facilities and programmes.

The role holder will also be a strong team player, with the ability to lead and engage colleagues in a shared vision to effectively use technology to work effectively and efficiently in supporting our community being active through the services offered by UoM Sport. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key to ensuring a joined-up approach across both UoM Sport and the wider institution including work with colleagues in Residences and IT Services to push forward innovative solutions.

We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join UoM Sport to support our students and staff being more physically active in our programmes and facilities.
