The Drama and Film Department in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications for a Lecturer in Film Studies (Teaching & Scholarship), tenable from 1 September 2022 – 31 January 2023. The successful candidate will be a film studies teacher with a completed PhD in a relevant area and a proven ability as an excellent teacher at undergraduate level. Applications in any area of film studies are welcome. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery of film studies courses on our undergraduate film studies curriculum, working alongside a team of successful screen and film studies scholars. You will make a contribution to the administration of the subject area under the supervision of the Head of Drama and Film. Whilst this post is teaching-focused, the Drama and Film department has a vibrant research culture, and the successful candidate’s contribution to sustaining and extending this research culture will be supported as appropriate to the post.
