Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement is seeking to appoint two Visitor Services Supervisors.

The site has undergone a major development with the opening of the First Light Pavilion this June, as  part of the £20m First Light at Jodrell Bank project which will see the broadening of  the Centre’s visitor offer via the incorporation of heritage and cultural engagement alongside science.

Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement is one of The University of Manchester’s cultural institutions. The organisation is responsible for engagement with the science, heritage & culture of Jodrell Bank and the wider University of Manchester, engaging visitors through a year-round visitor experience via exhibitions, grounds, events and festivals. We were established in 2011 and typically welcome around 160,000 annual visitors a year. Jodrell Bank was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019 in recognition of its internationally significant heritage, science and cultural impact.

These are new roles in our Visitor Services team. The posts will help to deliver visitor service excellence, as well as supporting Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement’s commercial operations and retail activities at a pivotal moment following the launch of the First Light Pavilion.

The posts, which are based in the Centre’s busy Planet Pavilion, also involve routine weekend duty management to support our 7 day week operation, as well as office and retail administration.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering a high standard of customer service and care and enjoy playing an active role in doing so, as well as being an excellent administrators with prior supervisory experience.
