We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to take on the role of Senior Tutor in the Manchester Institute of Education (MIE) (based within the School of Environment, Education and Development).
Senior Tutors provide teaching, supervision and pastoral care of students undertaking programmes within MIE. Your job will be to support lecturers in the teaching of their units, and to help students to learn better. You’ll be involved with small group teaching, one-to-one supervision and academic advising, and you will also be asked to give lectures in your specialist areas. You may be asked to help with programme or even department management.
The post holders will be expected to hold a PhD (or have made significant progress towards a PhD) or substantial professional experience in Higher Education, in addition to experience of teaching and assessing in Education, within a postgraduate and/or undergraduate context.
